About

BSN's Syntha-6 is the king of mixed protein powders! There are five high quality types of protein found in this product including whey isolate, micellar casein, calcium caseinate, egg albumin, and milk protein isolate. Having all of these sources is important because each type of protein has a different Branch Chain Amino Acid (BCAA) make up; so combining all these forms of protein together ensures that you are getting a balanced amount of all the essential amino acids in your diet!

Another way this product stands out is that it includes essential fatty acids which are extremely beneficial in many ways including promoting brain health, heart health, liver function and the list goes on. Essential fatty acids are lacking in most diets today and including them in your protein supplement is a great way to aid in making sure you are getting enough!

Lastly this product is an excellent value! For all these important nutrients BSN typically will cost you less than $10 per pound, this is a terrific price even when compared to other types of protein powders.

When to use

General times

BSN Syntha-6 can be taken at just about any time of the day. This protein powder uses a mix of different types of protein which will give the body fast digesting proteins along with slow digesting.

When to use a different type of protein

Whey protein is ideal to take immediately following exercise and even though this product contains whey protein it would be best to take a different product that contains whey protein as the main ingredient so that digestion will not be slowed down at a time when it is crucial to get amino acids into the bloodstream.
